How did you start bellydancing?
My sister Cathie in Canada got me started when I was 45... I just fell in love with it!

The bellydancing course and show at The Music Box Theatre with teacher Sara Farouk Ahmed when she visited Edinburgh
Dancing in George Street for the Christmas Lights
Being projected Belly dancing on to Edinburgh Castle at Christmas with my wonderful dance sisters as part of 'Castle of Light' project directed by Lindsey Marie Silver
What inspires you to keep dancing?
I love to make people smile and like to connect with them and I just love to dance
3 dancers (past or present) that inspire you and why

I could mention a lot of wonderful people far and near I have met on my bellydancing journey, especially my amazing Canadian Belly Sisters - who on my yearly visit to my late sisters made me feel part of their community.
Sara Farouk Ahmed made me feel so amazing about myself and gave me so much confidence
Lindsey Marie Silver got me though Lockdown and helped me so much with my long covid
Elaine Hughes was my first teacher and she taught me so much
The Belly dancing community all over the World is the most wonderful thing I have ever been part off ❤ thanks to everyone I have been privileged enough to have met though it.
